Your Questions Answered: The Dynamic Body Pilates Difference
Yes, and it’s one of the things that sets us apart! Many studios simply let you try a session, but we know that’s not enough to address the unique challenges you may be facing—whether it’s chronic pain, post-injury recovery, or just feeling like your body isn’t looking or moving the way it should. That’s why we start with a quick phone consultation to understand your specific concerns and goals.
Your first session, our signature Dynamic Body Assessment Session, goes beyond just trying Pilates. We take the time to assess your posture, strength, flexibility, and balance to uncover the root causes of discomfort or movement challenges.
By the end, you’ll have a clear, personalized strategy to help you move better, feel stronger, and live with less pain. It’s a transformative start to achieving the results you deserve.
After your Dynamic Body Assessment Session, we create a personalized program tailored to your body and schedule—because we know your time is valuable. Whether you’re addressing pain, recovering from an injury, or looking to move better and feel stronger, our focused, efficient approach is designed to deliver results that last.
Most clients work with us for about 10 weeks, with one to three 55-minute on-on-one Pilates sessions a week. Our flexible scheduling, including virtual options, makes it easy to stay consistent without upending your routine.
You’ll notice real improvements: reduced pain, increased mobility, improved muscle tone, and the strength to move through your day with ease and confidence. This is Pilates, reimagined for those who want to stay active and capable, no matter what life throws your way.
Absolutely. Many of our clients come to us with pain, discomfort, or injuries, often after trying medical or therapeutic treatments. What sets us apart is our approach: we don’t just guide you through exercises—we teach you how your body moves and how it needs to move to feel better. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to heal and move confidently, from the inside out.
We have extensive experience addressing a wide range of conditions, including:
- Back, knee, shoulder, foot and hip issues
- Arthritis, sciatica, disc herniations, buldges, and degenerative conditions
- Postural concerns and flexibility challenges
- Pre- and post-surgery recovery
- Chronic conditions like osteoporosis, scoliosis, ehlers danlos syndrome and MS
- Pelvic Floor Dysfunction
- Sports and yoga injuries, injury prevention, and performance improvement
Whether you're seeking relief, recovery, or to maximize your mobility, we’ll create a customized plan to help you exercise without pain and feel your best.
No, we don’t offer group classes. If your needs can be met in a group class format, you likely don’t need the specialized, strategic approach we provide. Our focus is on one-on-one programming that addresses deeper challenges like pain, posture, flexibility, strength, and balance—especially if you’ve been struggling to make progress on your own.
Our goal is to help you build the body awareness, skills, and tools needed to move safely and confidently. If your aspiration is to join the many group classes available around NYC, we’ll work with you to prepare your body so you can benefit from any workout, no matter the modality.
At Dynamic Body Pilates NYC, we go beyond guiding you through exercises—we teach in a way that’s tailored to your unique learning style, experience level, and specific needs. Whether you’re active, sedentary, or somewhere in between, our sessions meet you where you are, providing the support and challenge you need to progress.
We focus on building your body awareness and equipping you with tools you can use not just in the studio, but in your everyday life. Through our personalized approach, we teach you how to translate the work you do with us into real-world solutions—helping you move more efficiently, reduce discomfort, and feel better in your daily routines.
Our goal is to give you lasting skills and knowledge so you can confidently navigate the demands of life with less pain and more ease, no matter where your day takes you.
Yes, absolutely. Whether your goal is simply to walk without pain or to run multiple marathons a year—even if you’re “over a certain age”—every session is customized to your fitness level and goals. We ensure your workout is challenging yet appropriate, helping you build strength, mobility, and resilience while staying safe and effective for your body’s needs.
Absolutely! We work with clients through every stage of their journey—from egg harvesting and IVF treatments to all three trimesters of pregnancy, right up to delivery day (yes, really!).
During pregnancy, we help clients navigate the rapid changes their bodies undergo, focusing on staying strong, flexible, and comfortable as they prepare for childbirth. This includes addressing concerns like pelvic floor health, diastasis recti, and maintaining core strength, while also laying the foundation for postnatal recovery.
Postpartum, we continue to support clients with recovery from childbirth, rebuilding strength, and addressing specific concerns such as abdominal atrophy, pain and tension concerns, pelvic floor issues, and general fitness goals. Our tailored approach ensures you feel empowered and supported during this transformative time, both before and after delivery.
If this is a concern of yours, you’re in the right place. Many of our clients feel the same way when they first come to us. At Dynamic Body Pilates, we’re uniquely suited to meet you where you are, no matter your age or fitness level.
Our approach focuses on building your strength, mobility, and confidence gradually and safely. We tailor sessions to your needs, helping you apply techniques learned in the studio to daily activities—whether it’s sitting, standing, or moving with greater ease—so you can improve your overall quality of life.
It’s never too late to look, feel or move better in your body. With strategic guidance and personalized support, we’ll help you rediscover what your body is capable of and achieve progress you didn’t think possible.
Absolutely. Life doesn’t always allow for a perfect routine, and we understand that. Waiting for consistency can mean putting off what’s most important—your health and well-being. That’s why we work with your schedule to help you make progress, no matter how much you travel.
Whether it’s providing exercises to do while you’re away, converting sessions to virtual, scheduling extra sessions before or after a trip, or even taking a short pause, we’ll create a plan that fits your lifestyle. Consistency looks different for everyone, and even small steps can lead to big changes. Let’s start now and work together to keep you moving forward.
No, Dynamic Body Pilates is not physical therapy—although many of our clients think of it that way because we help them move better and get out of pain. Our approach focuses on teaching you how to move your whole body in a more supportive and integrated way, reducing compensation patterns and improving overall function.
Clients come to us at different stages of their physical therapy journey—some after making initial progress, others when they hit a plateau, and some feeling frustrated because they haven’t seen the results they hoped for. No matter your experience, we’re here to help you move forward. We’re also happy to connect with your physical therapist to ensure a smooth transition and provide continuity of care.
Whether you’ve made progress or feel stuck, we focus on creating a holistic approach to movement that addresses your unique challenges, helping you build strength, improve mobility, and achieve lasting results that may have felt out of reach before.
Dynamic Body Pilates empowers you to take control of your body and move with confidence and ease.
When you book a session, we reserve both the space and the teacher specifically for you. To ensure we can provide the best experience for all clients, we require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session without forfeiting it.
If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled session, you will be responsible for the full payment. However, you can choose to convert an in-studio session to a virtual session to avoid forfeiting it.
