Private Pilates in NYC Designed Around Your Body
Private Pilates designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and live with less pain.
Private Pilates is one-on-one Pilates tailored to your body, your goals, and the way you move. Every session evolves as your body does, with your practitioner continually adapting the exercises, equipment, and pacing to support your progress.
Your Body Deserves Its Own Strategy
Private Pilates at Dynamic Body Pilates is a personalized approach to helping your body feel, look, and function the way you need it to for the life you want to live.
Whether you are managing pain, recovering from an injury, returning to exercise, or simply looking for a smarter way to stay strong, every one-on-one session is designed around your body, your goals, and how you move.
Many of our clients have exercised, worked with physical therapists, massage therapists, and chiropractors, or even tried Pilates before. They're looking for something more: an experienced practitioner who listens, understands the whole picture, and helps them understand not just what to do, but why they're doing it.
Our role at Dynamic Body Pilates is different. We help you build a deeper understanding of your body and integrate what you learn into the way you move every day, so you can move with more confidence, strength, and freedom — in the studio and everywhere else life takes you.

What Is Private Pilates?
Private Pilates is a one-on-one approach to Pilates where every exercise, adjustment, and progression is customized specifically for you.
Unlike group classes that follow a general format designed for many people at once, private Pilates allows your practitioner to focus entirely on your body. Your sessions are shaped by your posture, movement patterns, goals, lifestyle, and how your body responds.
For one person, private Pilates may mean rebuilding strength after an injury. For another, it may mean staying active without recurring pain. For someone else, it may mean improving performance, balance, flexibility, or confidence in everyday movement.
When your goals are specific, your Pilates should be too.
Why Choose Private Pilates?
If twenty people with back pain walked into the same room, they would not all need the same solution.
One person may need better stability. Another may need more mobility. Someone else may need to learn how to engage their core correctly or change the way they move through everyday activities.
That is the difference between group Pilates and private Pilates.
Group classes can be a wonderful option for general fitness. Private Pilates is designed for people who want a program built around their individual needs.
Every session is customized to help you move better, build strength intelligently, and develop a better understanding of your body.
When your goals are specific, your Pilates should be too.
Your Goals. Your Body. Your Session.

No two private Pilates sessions look exactly alike because no two bodies are the same.
During your session, your practitioner uses the full Pilates studio, including the Reformer, equipment, and props, to create the right combination of exercises for where you are today and where you want to go.
Sessions may focus on:
- Strength and stability
- Mobility and flexibility
- Balance and coordination
- Posture and alignment
- Body awareness
- Movement confidence
Throughout your session, your practitioner is continually observing, adjusting, cueing, and progressing your exercises based on how your body responds.
You are not simply following a workout. You are learning how your body works and building the skills to support yourself for years to come.
"The teachers have an understanding of the human body that I have never seen before. I've tried Pilates before but this is a completely different experience. My practitioner is an unbelievable teacher and explains everything so eloquently and clearly."

Your First Step Toward Private Pilates: The Dynamic Body Assessment
Every client begins with our 90-minute Dynamic Body Assessment.
This comprehensive session helps us understand:
- How your body moves
- Where you compensate or create unnecessary tension
- Your current strengths and limitations
- Your goals and lifestyle demands
- The best strategy for your Pilates program
We do not treat this session as an introduction. Instead, it serves as the foundation for creating a personalized movement plan designed around you.

Our Pilates Philosophy

“"DBP is holistic, meaning they think of your problem areas within the broader context of your musculoskeletal system. It turns out my neck and back issues were partly due to imbalances in my legs and feet. No other practitioner had raised that issue before.
The instructors are extremely knowledgable and detail oriented. I'm consistently amazed by the way they notice the most minute details about how my body is functioning. I've learned a ton by working with them!"
